Barwon Institutional Healthcare Property Fund acquires Darlinghurst Medical Centre

Barwon bolsters its position as a leading Australian healthcare property fund manager with the acquisition of the Darlinghurst Medical Centre

Barwon Investment Partners (Barwon) is pleased to announce that the Barwon Institutional Healthcare Property Fund (BIHPF) has acquired the Darlinghurst Medical Centre in Darlinghurst, NSW. This exceptional healthcare asset is set over four levels and comprises over 1,668 sqm of net lettable area, all of which is leased to Healius Limited (ASX: HLS), one of Australia’s leading healthcare companies.

Healius has been providing affordable and accessible healthcare to the people of Australia for more than 30 years and has leased the Darlinghurst Medical Centre with a weighted average lease expiry of 9.7 years.

This quality healthcare facility is a modern, purpose-built facility providing General Practice, Allied Health, Skin Clinic, Fertility Treatment, Day Hospital, Diagnostic Imaging and Pharmacy. The Darlinghurst Medical Centre is strategically located within one of Sydney’s flagship suburbs, Darlinghurst, within walking distance to Sydney’s CBD.

Barwon’s acquisition of this property marks an attractive entry into a tightly held precinct located on the fringe of the Sydney CBD and is situated in close proximity to St Vincent’s Hospital. Barwon’s Head of Healthcare Property, Tom Patrick, said,
