Barwon Investment Partners (Barwon) is pleased to announce that the Barwon Healthcare Property Fund (BHPF, Fund) has received a six-star NABERS energy base building rating for its mental health facility located in Logan, Queensland.
According to the Australian Government Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water, the commercial building sector is responsible for approximately 25% of overall electricity use and 10% of total carbon emissions in Australia. Barwon is pleased to have received a six-star NABERS energy rating for the Logan Central Community Mental Health Centre as it looks to continually improve the environmental sustainability of its portfolio.
A reduction in energy consumption results in a more environmentally friendly asset, ensures lower running costs, and creates a more resilient portfolio, delivering value to the community and to our investors.
