Barwon Edgewater Investment Trust Close

August 1, 2014 /

Barwon Investment Partners (“Barwon”) today announced the successful completion of the Barwon Edgewater Investment Trust, a single property development investment, which returned a net IRR of 29% over 11 months to the Trust’s investors.

The Barwon Edgewater Investment Trust provided a 12 month mezzanine loan facility, as part of a refinancing of an existing debt facility, to complete construction of a $35 million residential development located at Varsity Lakes on the Gold Coast.

The Trust performed as expected during the term of the loan and, following a period of strong residential sales, received early repayment of the facility.

Barwon Investment Partners’ Director, Rob Morrison, comments: “The investment performed in line with our expectations. The investment was made as part of Barwon’s strategy of investing in value-add and opportunistic property investments across Australia. We are pleased to have secured this opportunity and
we remain active in sourcing new opportunities for our investors.”
